TOKYO: Tokyo shares slipped Thursday morning as investors eye a Toshiba shareholder meeting after one the pillars of corporate Japan warned annual losses could hit $9 billion stemming largely from its troubled nuclear business.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index fell 0.25 percent, or 47.56 points, to 19,169.92 by the break, while the broader Topix was down 0.28 percent, or 4.26 points, at 1,537.81.
