TOKYO: Tokyo stocks fell Thursday morning as market heavyweight Toyota tumbled nearly three percent after the world’s top automaker warned its annual profit is set to fall by about a third.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index dipped 0.41 percent, or 68.20 points, to 16,510.81 by the break, while the broader Topix index of all first-section shares was down 0.50 percent, or 6.68 points, to 1,327.62.
