ISLAMABAD: In a last ditch effort to keep the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) intact and effective, its head and JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman appealed to the PPP and ANP to review their decision of quitting the alliance.

Addressing a presser here on Monday, Fazlur Rehman termed the resignations of the PPP and ANP from the opposition alliance as an unfortunate.

“We don’t want to take our internal issues to the roads,” he added. We sought en explanation from a party against whom we had complaints, Fazl further said.

He said that the PDM had not been formed to fight for any position. We had waited in the past and are still waiting for our friends to come  back.

The JUI-F chief appealed to the PPP and ANP to review their decisions and added that he was ready to listen to them.
