TLP chief Saad Rizvi announces to participate in next elections

LAHORE The Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) chief Saad Rizvi has been released from jail here on Thursday.

According to the sources of the home department, Saad Rizvi was first detained in April 2021. He was detained on the order of DC and during the house arrest his name was included the fourth schedule.

It may be mentioned here that his release came after after the agreement between the government and Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP).

Earlier, the Punjab home department had decided to withdraw an application filed against the release of Saad Rizvi by the Punjab government.

The home department of Punjab had also sent the list 98 cases against Saad Rizvi to the federal ministry of interior, which consulted with the ministry of law regarding the termination of terrorism cases.
