ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Telecommunications Authority has once again banned the short video sharing app TikTok in the country.
A press release issued by PTA on Wednesday said that in light of the relevant provisions of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act 2016, the PTA blocked access to TikTok apps and websites in the country.
According to the press release, this action was taken due to the constant presence of inappropriate content on the platform and the failure to stop such content on the site.
It may be recalled that earlier the world famous lip-syncing app TikTak was banned by the Sindh High Court.
