PESHAWAR: At least three terrorists of a banned outfit including a militant commander were arrested along with arms and explosives here on Saturday.
SSP Operations, Dr. Mian Muhammad Saeed said that on a tip-off regarding presence of militants, the police conducted operation in Matni area of the provincial capital Peshawar
He said that during crackdown three terrorists belonging to Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Jangrez Group including a key militant commander identified as Kamran were arrested.
The police recovered weapons and explosives material from the possession of the detainees stated to be involved in attacks on security forces, bomb blasts in Matni Bazaar, blasting government school buildings, murders and kidnapping for ransom. They have been shifted to undisclosed location for further interrogation.
