KARACHI: Three suspected terrorists belonging to a banned outfit among 22 were arrested in separate operations launched by law enforcement agencies in different areas of the city in the wee hours of Wednesday, weapons were also recovered.
According to police sources, on tip-offs received by intelligence agencies about presence of suspected terrorists in the area, three suspects of a banned outfit were arrested during operation was conducted in Agra Taj area.
In another action, Rangers conducted operation at Purana Golimaar area and arrested four suspects.
During operation weapons including four bombs, 2 SMGs and 9MM pistols were recovered from a house. The Rangers sources said that a known Lyari gang war leader was also among those who were arrested. Motorcycles were also recovered from them.
Meanwhile Police also conducted a search operation in Kharadar area and detained 15 suspects. Police also arrested a suspected robber from Defence Phase-II after an encounter.
Police officials said that the suspect was busy looting citizens before the arrest.
