Three sisters drowned in Nowshera

ISLAMABAD: Three sisters were drowned in River Kabul near Nowshera as they returned after shopping for marriage of one of them.

Umera was accompanied by her husband, Dilawar Shah and five-month-olddaughter when she slipped and fell into the river as they stopped midway, reported a private news channel.

Saeeda, in an attempt to save her younger sister, jumped after her, prompting the youngest of the three, Bushra to follow.

Seeing his wife and her sisters in trouble, Shah took a dip to save them but could only manage to rescue the five-month-old infant.

Saeeda’s body was recovered at Jahangira point of River Kabul however, hunt for other two is underway.
