LAHORE: Three members of a family drowned when a boat capsized in River Ravi near Kala Khatai area of Sheikhupura.
Three persons drowned and nine persons were rescued when a boat carrying passengers capsized in the River Ravi in Lahore, reported Radio Pakistan.
The rescue operation was in progress. According to Rescue sources, the incident took place due to overloading.
A mother and her two children drowned, whose bodies were fished out by the rescuers.
The rescued persons were shifted to a hospital where some of them were stated to be in serious condition.
