KARACHI: At least three persons were shot dead in separate incidents of firing while Rangers arrested nine suspects in different operations in the city on Sunday.
According to police sources, some unidentified assailants gunned down a man in Defence area. The deceased was identified as Irfan.
The suspected armed men opened fire at a shop in Neelum Colony, killing Haider Ali, while Ibrahim was shot dead at a public call office in Qayyumabad area.
Meanwhile, the Rangers continued operation in many areas of the city and arrested nine suspects.
According to a Rangers spokesperson, the arrested accused included terrorists and members of gang war and militant groups. Various weapons, including a submachine gun (SMG), were also recovered from the suspects.
The arrested accused were shifted to an undisclosed place for interrogation.
