ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) Medical team here Thursday said it will take up to three days to hand over the dead bodies to the families.
Talking to APP, PIA medical team said the bodies will be sent to Pakistan Institute of Medical Science (PIMS) from the heliport for the DNA test and after that the bodies will be handed over to the families. “It will take up to three days for the DNA test,” he said.
Sheikh Ansar Aziz (Mayor Islamabad), Muhammad Irfan Elahi (Secretary Aviation), Muhammad Azam Saigol (Chairman PIA) and other PIA and government officials were also present along with the medical team on the occasion. While Rescue 1122, local and Edhi ambulances were also present on the occasion.
Meanwhile the PIA officials said the bodies will be brought in two phases. In the first phase three helicopters will carry seven bodies each while the rest of the bodies will be carried in the second phase.
