Three-day physical remand of PIMS rape accused granted

ISLAMABAD: Duty Magistrate Waqas Ahmed Raja has granted three days physical remand of rape accused of a disabled girl patient admitted in Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) hospital.

CIA police has requested the court for seven day physical remand of the accused Krishan Kumar. However, the court granted three-day physical remand.

The Karachi Company Police Station on April 11 has registered First Information Report (FIR) against a male nurse of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) hospital, accused of a rape attempt on a female disable patient.

The FIR was registered against the accused Krishan Kumar on application of PIMS management after the complaint of victim’s father.

After registration of the case at Karachi company police station, CIA wing of Islamabad police has been entrusted the task to further handle this case which presented the accused in the court on Wednesday and got his three-day physical remand.
