Thousands attend funeral of martyred youth in Kupwara

In occupied Kashmir, thousands of people attended the funeral prayers of a martyred youth, Bilal Ahmed, in Lolab area of Kupwara district, today.

Bilal Ahmed along with another youth, Zahoor Ahmed, was killed by Indian troops during a cordon and search operation in Khumriyal area of the district, yesterday.

Despite the restrictions imposed by the occupation authorities, thousands of people participated in the funeral prayers of Bilal Ahmed at his ancestral Shatmuqam village in Lolab, today. They raised high-pitched pro-freedom and anti-India slogans.

The Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front-R leaders, Barrister Abdul Majeed Tramboo and Advocate Ayoub Rathor in a joint statement paid glowing tributes to the martyred youth, Zahoor Ahmed and Bilal Ahmed Shah. They said that the Kashmiri people would take the mission of their martyrs to its logical conclusion at all costs.

The spokesman of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League in a statement in Srinagar said the Kashmiris were creating history of sacrifices and no power on earth could defeat them. He said that the sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs would not be allowed to go waste.

The Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) spokesman in a statement in Srinagar also paid rich tributes to the youth martyred in Lolab and Sopore areas by the Indian troops.
