SYDNEY: Legendary Australian cricketer known as Mr cricket, Michael Hussy has formally announced his retirement from international cricket.
Michael Hussy talking to media said that Big Bash League 5 will be his last appearance in the ground but has left the door open to continuing his career overseas.
“I’m not 100 per cent sure (retirement). There might be another opportunity to play in the IPL again, but I’m still weighing that up,” Hussey told AAP.
He said that he will see how he [Hussy] pull up from IPL and make a decision from there but it’s certainly his last BBL appearance.
Hussy said that he hasn’t played lot of cricket in IPL’s last session but still done all the head work as far as fitness training is concerned.
The 40-year-old said he still enjoy the challenge and the contest over there.
