Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Friday declared 2,116 polling stations ‘sensitive’ in six districts of Karachi while 3,078 polling stations were declared ‘sensitive’ and 9,970 declared ‘normal’ in 12 districts in Punjab.
According to the ECP list, 321 polling stations declared ‘most sensitive’ in East district, 279 in South district, 198 in Central, 497 in West, 222 in Malir and 274 in Korangi district of Karachi.
Moreover, 288 polling stations were underlined as ‘sensitive’ and five declared ‘normal’ in East district, 97 declared ‘sensitive’ in South and seven as normal while 859 declared ‘sensitive’ in Central district and not a single polling station termed as ‘normal.’
In Punjab province, 964 polling stations were declared ‘most sensitive’ in total 12 district of the province including 134 in Jhang, 60 in Rajanpur, 90 in Muzaffargarh, 85 in Sialkot, 40 in Narawal, 30 in Khushab, 165 in Dera Ghazi Khan, 60 in Bahawalpur, 25 in Layyah and 80 in Rahim Yar Khan.
ECP advises nationals to bring original CNICs while coming to cast their votes.
