Textile exports decrease 16 pc in March

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Bureau of Statistics data reveals that the export of textile goods have declined by 16 percent in March.

Textile exports are continuous declining for last two months, after a positive growth of 10.23 percent in January 2015.

Export in textile goods are witnessed a negative growth of 1.57 percent, during the first nine months of the fiscal year 2014-15

The report reveals that export of low value-added products, such as cotton yarn, dipped by 29.36percent, readymade textile excluding towels by 13.62percent. The export of silk dropped by 24.87percent. Moreover, raw cotton export witnessed a vertical decline of 85.72 percent.
