Terrorists to meet their logical end: Shehbaz Sharif

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday visited the residences of those killed in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park suicide blast and condoled with the bereaved families.

He also gave cheques of financial assistance to heirs of the deceased. The Chief Minister visited the house of a child Amaan Jan in Awan Market on Ferozpur Road who died in the tragic incident and expressed sorrow and grief with his parents.

Talking to the family members of the child, the Chief Minister said that though he could not bring the child back but it was his promise to them that he would spare no effort for rooting out terrorists from the country.

He said that it was the worst incident of terrorism in the history of Punjab and cowardly and ruthless enemy has killed children, daughters, sons and mothers through brutal act of terrorism.

The Chief Minister said that he would shed even the last drop of his blood for eradicating terrorism and terrorists would be brought to their logical end by the brave armed forces, police, politicians and the masses through their collective efforts.

The Chief Minister sympathized with the father and the mother of the deceased child.

Later, the Chief Minister visited the house of a person Prince Bhatti and his nephew Junaid Bhatti in Rehmat Colony, Nishtar Colony who also lost their lives in the incident and expressed condolences to the bereaved family.

Speaking on the occasion, Shehbaz Sharif said that Gulshan Iqbal Park tragedy was the worst incident of barbarism and should be strongly condemned. He said that he was deeply grieved at the loss of precious human lives.

The Chief Minister said the whole nation was united in the war against terrorism and this menace would be rooted out. He said that he would go to any extent for elimination of terrorists and their facilitators.

Shehbaz Sharif also visited the house of an eleven years old child Sahil Perviaz in Bahar Colony, Kot Lakhpat who was killed in Gulshan Iqbal Park blast and sympathized with his mother and other members of his family.

The Chief Minister also visited the house of a family at Eidgah Miani Graveyard, Islamia Park which had lost its three members in Gulshan Iqbal Park tragedy and expressed his sympathies with their heirs. He also prayed for the departed souls.

“Gulshan Iqbal Park incident was a big tragedy which has grieved the whole nation and elimination of terrorism was his mission,” he added.
