Terrorists carried out an attack on police vehicle in Orangi Town in Karachi here on Wednesday night while rapid retaliation killed five terrorists after a gun battle.
A police vehicle was attacked by unidentified assailants in Zia Colony of the area. Response attack by police officials killed five terrorists that were present on hi-roof vehicle and motorcycle.
Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) officials were called at the location as explosives are likely to be planted in the vehicle.
Sources said that BDS officials recovered 2-3 kilogram of explosives from the vehicle. SSP West said that the deceased persons were belonging banned militant outfit, Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
Earlier, Superintendent Police Sajid Sadozai said that the terrorists were present in different vehicles while more contingents of law enforcement agency were called up on the location.
