KARACHI: Pakistan Ship’s Agents Association (PSAA) was formed in 1976 and is the largest and oldest Trade Association representing Shipping Lines/Agents whose 60 members handle all types of cargo i.e. containerized cargo, liquid cargo and dry bulk cargo at Pakistani seaports.
Tariq Haleem is also Vice President Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI) and Vice President Pakistan Stevedores Conference (G) Limited (PSCL).
Due to his experience in the shipping / maritime industry and close working in the FPCCI he can see both sides of the coin i.e. from the Shipping and Port Sector point of view and also from the point of view of the trading community i.e. both exporters & importers.
He has about 40 years hands on experience in the shipping field.
In his acceptance speech Tariq Haleem has expressed his intention of better and closer working between the Maritime sector, Business Community and the Government especially with a view to increase exports from Pakistan.
The incoming Chairman Mr.Tariq appreciated the outgoing Chairman Mr.Mohammed A. Rajpar and his team for their hard work to serve the interests of Ports and Shipping sector which is vital for the development and economic progress of every country.
