LAHORE: PTI leader Jahangir Tareen said on Saturday that he has nothing to do with the sugar mafia and the price hike of the sweetener.
Speaking to the media here, Tareen said that he had been attributed again and again with the sugar mafia and price hike of the sweetener, adding that he had nothing to do with these allegations.
“Go through all three FIRs registered against me, there is no mention of sugar mafia or hike in sugar prices in them,” the former PTI stalwart said. Rather, eight to 10 years old issues from my business had been highlighted in them, he added.
He claimed that a fictional story had been fabricated against me. My documentation is clear and transparent. I pay exact amount of income tax every year. Mine and my family’s accounts are with the income tax people, Tareen added.
