KABUL: Taliban have warned the US of reaction in case of any extension is made in the withdrawal of foreign forces from Afghanistan.
Earlier, the US had set August 31 as deadline for the withdrawal of forces from the country.
Speaking to foreign wire service on Monday, Taliban spokesperson Suhail Shaheen warned the US against extending deadline of troops’ pull-out.
The spokesperson said that the extension in deadline would cause an environment of mistrust. Extension in deadline means extension in illegal occupation of Afghanistan, he added.
“The US will face a reaction from us if it extended the set deadline of Aug 31, ” Shaheen warns.
He said that the lives of Afghan citizens who were migrating are safe as they were fleeing owing to poverty.
