PESHAWAR: A Taliban spokesman on Wednesday voiced reservations on the the Afghan President Ashraf Ghani’s conditional prisoner release order.
Spokesman Suhail Shaheen said that the Ghani’s order was against the peace agreement, which was signed last month with the US in Doha.
He added that the peace accord had clearly explained that the first 5,000 prisoners would be freed befire the initiation of the Afghan dialogue.
He said that Taliban had not agreed on any such prisoner’s conditional release condition in the agreement.
