KUNDUZ: Just five days after a peace agreement had signed between Taliban and the US, the insurgent group launched attacks, killing at least 20 Afghan soldiers in Kunduz and Uruzgan provinces on Wednesday.

Ten soldiers and four police personnel were killed in Taliban attacks launched on three army checkposts in Kunduz’s Imam Sahib district.

Separately, six cops were killed and seven hurt in an attack on police in Uruzgan province, an official said.

Hours before the attacks, US President Donald Trump had claimed that he had very good chat with Taliban chief.
