Meanwhile, the Afghan Taliban have said that Pakistan’s concerns on terrorism and security would be removed.
They also expressed a desire to join the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid told a news conference on Monday that the war in Afghanistan was now over, and that consultations were needed to form a government. He added that the consultation process is underway and all parties will be involved in the formation of the national government. The government will be announced soon, he further said.
When asked about women’s rights, the Afghan Taliban spokesman said that women had the right to protest and speak out at the right time after the formation of the government.
