KABUL: The Taliban have appointed the head of the central bank and the education minister.
According to Afghan media, during the nine days of Taliban control over Kabul, the Taliban have started the process of various appointments, after which they have appointed the head of the central bank and the minister of education.
According to media, Mullah Abdul Qahar, popularly known as Haji Mohammad Idrees, has been appointed acting head of the central bank by the Taliban, while Hemat Akhunzada has been appointed acting education minister.
Mullah Abdul Qahar held an introductory meeting with the staff of the Afghan Central Bank after his appointment in which he instructed the staff to return to work gradually.
