LAHORE: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chief Dr Tahirul Qadri has announced to stage sit-in at Lahore’s Mall Road on June 17 to demand justice for martyrs of Model Town.
Protest is their constitutional right, Tahirul Qadri said addressing to a press conference in Model Town via video link.
“As Army Chief helped us registered the First Information Report (F.I.R), in the same way he will provide justice to us,” he added.
Qadri said, the protest will be attended by leaders of political parties, civil society and human rights organisations.
He further stated that joke with the nation in the name of ‘Terms of References (ToR) and Parliamentary Committee’ to probe Panama Papers must stop.
Tahirul Qadri said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s quick recovery after an open-heart surgery is a ‘miracle’.
The PAT chief will arrived in Lahore on June 15 through a private flight.
