ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Tuesday declaring the Sindh High Court decision as null and void ordered to remove the name of PPP leader Dr Asim Hussain from the exit control list (ECL).
The court directed the close aide of former president Asif Ali Zardari to submit surety bonds worth Rs6 million.
The apex court asked Dr Asim to return home within one month after taking treatment abroad.
Earlier June this year the PPP leader had filed a petition in the Supreme Court seeking removal of his name from the Exit Control List so that he may travel abroad for medical treatment.
Barrister Latif Khosa, in the petition, said that Dr Asim Hussain has been fighting several health problems and needs medical care.
