Supreme Court ends Karsaz incident case

ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court of Pakistan has declared Karsaz incident case ineffective after eight years.

A five-member larger bench hearing Karsaz incident which left 180 dead while 500 injured, declared it ineffective.

The five-member headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Anwar Zaheer Jamali, who started hearing the case from today, February 8.

It is pertinent to mention here that, on 18 October 2007 on the arrival of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto. The bombing occurred two months before she was assassinated. The bombing resulted in at least 180 deaths and 500 injuries. Most of the dead were members of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).
