KARACHI: At least four alleged suspects were apprehended and one was shot dead by law enforcement agencies at Kathor, near National Highway, in the wee hours of Tuesday.
LEAs claimed that the arrested suspects were planning to attack University of Karachi in the next few days. One of their accomplices, Abdul Amin, was gunned down as he attempted to flee from the spot.
LEAs said that a truck full of weapons was recovered from their possession.
Sources said that the alleged terrorists were planning to attack the varsity using the truck. At least 10 kilogram bomb explosives, five kilogram ball bearings and a detonator were recovered from the suspects.
