ISLAMABAD: The Utility Stores Corporation (USC) has reduced the price of sugar.
In this connection, the USC has issued a notification. According to the notification, Rs13 per kilogram has been reduced in the sugar price.
After the cut, now the new sugar price is Rs140 per kilogram, which was previously Rs153.
Earlier, Rangers seized a huge amount of sugar worth millions of rupees during operation against the sugar hoarders in Karachi.
Raids were conducted at two different warehouses of sugar on Hub River Road in Baldia Town where they recovered approximately 140,000 bags of sugar, said the paramilitary forces’ spokesperson.
