ISLAMABAD: Subscribers of 3G/4G mobile broadband had crossed 26 million and its penetration has gone up from 3 per cent to over 15 pc.
After the introduction of 3G/4G, investments in telecom infrastructure had crossed US$ 2.668 billion so far said an official of ministry of information technology.
Introduction of 3G/4G has not only brought telecom sector at par with the developed countries in terms of modern telecom services but has also created more avenues of employment in the fields of e-Commerce, e-health, e-education, IT applications, content development and home-based businesses etc.

According to these estimates, and considering the exponential rise in mobile broadband users (3G/4G) it is expected that the introduction of this technology will have a very positive impact on economic growth in the country.
