KARACHI: The steering committee of Sindh Education Department has made important announcements regarding the examinations of students.

A meeting of the steering committee of the education department was held under the chairmanship of provincial education minister Saeed Ghani in which important decisions were taken regarding the examinations of students.

According to the education department, it has been decided to take examinations from first to eighth class.

The Department of Education has said that the Matriculation and Inter examinations will be held on the scheduled dates in July, the ninth class examinations will be held immediately after the tenth examinations in July, while the practicals of classes IX to XII will also be conducted.

According to the education department, it was decided in the meeting that the students would take exams for only optional subjects while the results would be declared 45 days after the examinations.

In case of failure in the optional subjects, passing marks would be given to the students. The meeting decided that marks in elective subjects will base on the marks obtained in optional subjects.
