Strike observed over Sopore killing in Indian-held Kashmir

SRINAGAR: Kashmiris have observed shutdown strike over Sopore Killing in Indian-held Kashmir. Hurriyat leaders called for shutdown over assassination-style killings.

Shops were remained closed and traffic vanished from the roads to express their solidarity with the Kashmiri victims. Government officials said that the their initial investigations indicated that rebels killed the four victims, each with a close-range shot to the back of the head.

While Kashmiri hurriyat representatives alleged the government for killing the innocent Kashmiris in Sopore.

The killings began last week when gunmen shot and killed a well-knownhurriyat activist in Sopore. That was followed by the deaths of three more innocents Kashmiris.
