Stray dogs bite 9 kids among 11 in Larkana

LARAKNA: Stray dogs mauled at least 11 people, nine children among them, in Siddiqueabad village here during the past 24 hours.

According to reports, 11 people including 9 kids were attacked and injured by stray dogs in the Siddiqueabad village. The injured were taken to Chandka Medical College Hospital’s Anti-Rabbies Centre for treatment.
Angry villagers, later, tried to kill the stray dogs, which also bit goats and buffaloes in the area. Police and hospital sources said that the injured were identified as Ms Kamala, Jan Muhammad, Sabir Ali, Sajjad Ali, Zubair Ali, Irshad Ali, Junaid, Wazir Ali, Ayan Ali, Abdullah, Arsalan and Irfan.
Last week, Dr Azra Fazal Pechuho, the Sindh health minister had suggested that the culling of dogs was the only practical solution to the menace.
