International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the annual awards of 2015, as Australian skipper Steve Smith bagged ICC player and Test player of the year awards.
Steve Smith has become the fourth Australia player and 11th player overall to win the prestigious Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy after being named as the ICC Cricketer of the Year 2015.
South Africa ODI captain AB de Villiers was named 2015’s one-day international player of the year while his teammate Faf du Plessis bagged ICC T20I Performance of the Year award for his 56-ball 119 against the West Indies.
Meg Lanning adjudged ICC Women’s ODI Cricketer of the Year while Stafanie Taylor declared ICC Women’s T20I Cricketer of the Year.
Australia’s Hazlewood claimed ICC Emerging Cricketer of the Year award and UAE’s Khurram Khan earned ICC Associate and Affiliate Cricketer of the Year award.
Brendon McCullum scooped ICC Spirit of Cricket Award and Richard Kettleborough completed a hat-trick of ICC Umpire of the Year titles.
