KARACHI: An intelligence agency officer embraced martyrdom while two terrorists were killed in an exchange of fire when Rangers conducted search operation in Tuesday’s wee hours in Gulshan-e-Iqbal area of Karachi.
The rangers conducted search operation at Fahad Garden located in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, 13-D. The intelligence officer guided the paratroopers to the area.
As soon as the personnel of paramilitary force reached near the flat compound, the terrorists opened gunfire at them.
The intelligence agency’s officer sustained critical wounds in the fire exchange. He was rushed to a nearby private hospital but succumbed to injuries.
His body has been shifted to Jinnah Hospital for medico-legal procedure.
