PESHAWAR: The Special Police Unit (SPU) arrested a terrorist suspect of a banned outfit besides recovering explosives and other bomb making material here on Friday.
The SPU sources said that on a tip-off operation was conducted and a suspected terrorist stated to be belonging to a defunct organization was held near Khazana Sugar Mills Colony gate in the provincial capital Peshawar.
The SPU recovered five kilogram explosives, nut-bolts and ball bearings used in making bombs from the possession of the nabbed terrorist.
The detainee was shifted to an undisclosed location for interrogation and according to SPU sources, important revelations and more arrests were expected as investigation will proceed.
