LAHORE: The Speaker Punjab Assembly has decided not to accept the resignations of PML-N members.
According to sources, the Speaker Punjab Assembly has the power not to accept resignations for six months. The Speaker may summon the resigning member within 6 months.
Members are required to state their reasons for resigning. They will be asked if he is resigning out of personal desire or under pressure.
Until the Speaker sends his resignation to the Election Commission, the resignation will not be considered. After the resignation is sent to the Election Commission, the schedule of the new election will be announced.
