Madrid: Spanish observed an special baby-jumping festival last week. They have been observing this festival to protect their infants from evil forces.
In this festival a man dressed in a red and yellow costume representing the devil, known as El Colacho, jumps over babies placed on a mattress during traditional Corpus Christi celebrations.
The event recalls the eternal fight between good versus evil and is believed to put the babies on a path to a good life, opening the entrance to heaven for them. While sin is believed to be driven from the whole town in the process.
