MUMBAI: Former captain Sourav Ganguly has unanimously been elected as the Board of Control for Cricket in India’s (BCCI) president on Wednesday.

The 47-year-old former Indian captain was the sole nominee to the post.

Ganguly has become the 39th president of India’s troubled cricket board that has been facing allegations of corruption and match-fixing.

BCCI is India’s wealthiest of all of the sport’s national boards.
