WASHINGTON: The Off-plane Grating Rocket for Extended Source Spectroscopy (OGRESS) was successfully launched on a NASA Black Brant IX suborbital sounding rocket on May 2nd, from the White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico. The mission will research on Supernovas.

The rocket was carrying new technology to look closely at the X-rays streaming from a supernova remnant called the Cygnus Loop and assess what the debris from this 20000 years old explosion is made of. This technology will open the door to probe deep universe for mission matter that believed to exist.
