Social website Facebook said that some users are still facing issues while accessing its messaging service.

“We appear to be having issues again,” a WhatsApp spokesman told Reuters. The company had earlier said it had completely restored the service.

WhatsApp, however, did not provide any details on what led to the outage, which began shortly after 4.30 p.m. UK time on New Year’s Eve.

WhatsApp had said it was working to fully restore service, but the company hadn’t revealed the reason of the outage.  There is no word on how and when it started. Whatsapp, owned by Facebook has about 900 million global users.
