KARACHI: Dacoits killed army officer over resistance outside his residence last night in Metropolis Karachi.
According to the details, two robbers were attempting to snatch mobile phone from the guard, when Brigadier Shafqat came out his house and opened fire on the snatchers. The Dacoits gunned down Brigadier Shafqat and shot injured the guard near Nipa Chowrangi in Gulshan-e-Iqbal.
One of the snatchers was also injured in the fight and police claimed to have arrested him. The other snatcher managed to flee from the scene.
DIG west told the media that the injured snatcher was shifted to the hospital for medical treatment. He said that an FIR had been lodged and police launched the investigation.
