Commissioner orders action to control animal disease at Karachi cattle farms

KARACHI: The Sindh government has banned the slaughter of sacrificial animals inside or near homes on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.

A notification issued by the Sindh Home Department said that due to the increase in the corona virus, slaughter of sacrificial aninals is not allowed in urban residential areas.

An open field should be chosen for the slaughter and no gathering of people should be held while sacrificing the animals.

The department directs commissioners, deputy commissioners and police to take action against violators of SOPs.
