MULTAN: Six terrorists were killed in an encounter by Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) team at Mondka village of district Muzaffargarh late on Thursday night.
A CTD Multan official said that Yasir Punjabi and Muneeb, who along with five to six accomplices had escaped from Multan, were among those killed at Muzaffargarh.
It may be noted that eight terrorists hailing from a banned organization were killed at Multan on late Wednesday night.
However, Yasir Punjabi along with his accomplices was trying to escape when an encounter took place with the CTD team and during exchange of fire the explosives already present in their vehicle exploded.
As a result, six terrorists were killed and the CTD team also recovered weapons and explosives from them.
It is pertinent to mention here that 14 terrorists were killed in two encounters during the last two days in Multan and Muzaffargarh.
