LAHORE: Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Ameer, Senator Sirajul Haq has assured Clerks Association to raise voice for them at Senate and National Assembly.
During the meeting with All Pakistan Clerks Association here in Mansoora on Saturday, the JI Ameer said it is the constitutional responsibility of the government to provide basic education, health, shelter, job and justice to every single citizen. Major part of the annual budget is being utilized on unnecessary projects rather to be spent on basic needs of people, he added.
Senator Sirajul Haq said education and health are the most important sectors of human life and the government is only spending 3 percent of the budget on them, adding that Rs7 billion is being spent on Leaders security.
Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan demands the fair and equality based system in the country, in which poor and ruling class both have the same standards of living, he said.
Sirajul Haq urged Clerks Association to refuse to obey such orders in which any government representative wants to impose his unconstitutional or legal will which are against the national interest.
He said status quo has kept hostage the state, politics and democracy. Corrupt elite administration is ruling the institutions, he added.
“We want people to throw out the corrupt leaders ruling the country for last 70 years and choose honest leadership to improve the performance of national institutions,” he added.
JI senator said his party is making efforts to impose Islamic and Sharia law in the country. The salary of labour will be at least Rs 30,000 when JI will come in to power, he added. “Poor can get the free treatment in hospital.”
