KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan Ameer, Senator Sirajul Haq has said that the present government has failed and masses will have to come forward against corrupt rulers and their corruption.
He expressed these views on Wednesday while addressing a ‘Talent Expo’ being organized by Islami Jamiat Talaba (IJT) at Expo Center, Karachi.
He said that unfortunately Pakistan is still far from its purpose of perception. Terming them a powerful mafia, he strictly criticized the ruling regimes for diving the education sector on the basis of economic classes. He expressed his grief and anger over social injustice in the society.
Sirajul Haq said that more money of taxpayers is being spent on luxuries of privileged classes as compare to basic necessities of poor and needy people.
He said that JI often subjected to torture and hurdles were created in our struggle but even our opponents declare our members as the most honest representatives of masses.
The senator stressed the need of unilateral educational system and said that the son of a loabour would be reading the same syllabus that son of the president reads.
He added that if JI comes to power, education of girls would be compulsory. The father would have to face a jail term, if he refused to educate his daughter.
He said that the sitting ruling regime has failed and the nation will have to stand up against corruption. He said that only masses can hold rulers accountable.
He said appreciated student leaders, belonging to IJT for their efforts to pursue their struggle and goals.
He hoped that Pakistani students would bring a positive change in the country.
The JI leader said that Jamiat was always on forefront when it comes to safeguard the integrity and ideological borders of Pakistan.
He said that he himself is thankful to IJT as, according to him, it was IJT who taught him what to do in life. He urged students to join Jamiat for a prosper, peaceful and dynamic future. He added that Jamiat furnishes its members.
“You are Pakistan, you are Pakistan’s future,” he added.
“Mr Prime Minister, I on the behalf of entire Pakistan, including Balochistan, want to ask if you are the premier of Lahore or the entire country.”
We have decided to take gather people on October 22nd and 23rd in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and a big march would be taken out on October 30 in Lahore, he announced.
Speaking on the occasion, JI Sindh chief Dr. Meraj ul Huda Siddiqui said that activists of Islami Jamiat Talaba are the pride of the nation and they are cream of the students who can produce positive results for Pakistan.
He was of the view that education is the major tool and weapon to bring a positive and durable change in any society.
The goal can be achieved by taking little but positive steps through acquiring education, he said adding that activities like the Talent Expo should continue.
Senator Saeed Ghani said this talent expo has changed the impression and waved out fears among students as well as masses.
He urged other student organizations should also follow the steps of IJT.
IJT, Pakistan chief Sohaibuddin Kakakhail, IJT Karachi chief Hashim Yousaf Abdali, and others also addressed on the occasion.
