LAHORE: Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, has called for an immediate meeting of the government and the opposition to discuss India’s war designs and the solution of the Kashmir issue.
Talking to the media outside the Parliament on Tuesday, he said that all round preparedness against India was necessary as India was highly perturbed on seeing Kashmir going out of her hands.
He said that India was not ready to speak the truth on Kashmir that had been a disputed territory on the UN record for seven decades. On the other hand, he said, the Pakistan government did not have the courage to tell the whole truth on the issue due to which there was great unrest in Kashmir and also in Pakistan.
Sirajul Haq said that after delivering a good speech in the UN General Assembly the Prime Minister was keeping mum. He said the situation demanded that we had the courage to place the Kashmir issue to the world at large. He appreciated the resolution in the Senate and the National and the provincial assemblies condemning India’s attitude However, he said, that much more was required on that front. He said that Held Kashmir was under curfew for the last 78 days and the injured were denied primary medical cover.
He said that around nine million Pakistanis in different countries could present Kashmir case for the country in the best possible manner. The Foreign Ministry should effectively highlight the Kashmir issue all over the world through its envoys. Besides, he said, that delegations should be sent to the Muslim, European and western countries for raising voice against India’s brutalities on the Kashmiris demanding their right of self-determination.
On accountability, the JI chief said the rulers trying to escape Ehtisab had no moral right to remain in power. He said the nation wanted end of corruption while the rulers were trying very tactic to save their rule.
He said the JI would carry on its drive against corruption to its logical end. He was sure that the sit in at Faisalabad and Raiwind against corruption on September 30 would be successful. He said the JI did not believe in violence and its protests would be peaceful. He said that if there was any attempt to create unrest and disruption, the responsibility would lie with the government.
He said that hatred against rulers among nationals increased due to delay in formulating judicial commission for probe of Panama leaks. He said that if the Prime Minister presented himself for accountability, the Ehtisah of the others would begin on the very next day.
