RIYADH: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Ameer Senator Sirajul Haq expressed deep grief over the sad demise of former Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia, Prince Saud al Faisal.
In a condolence message from Saudi Arabia, he said that late Prince Saud al Faisal had endeavoured for decades to resolve the problems being faced by the Muslim Ummah, and in this, had reminded the world of his late father King Faisal on various occasions. Late Saud al Faisal had played an effective role in
removing the misunderstandings between different Muslim states, he added.
Sirajul Haq said that Prince Saud al Faisal had always held firm and clear views on all important issues concerning Pakistan especially Kashmir and nuclear programme. He said that the deceased, despite his protracted illness, had played an important role in Saudi Arabia’s foreign policy.
He said it was a sign of divine blessing that the deceased had breathed his last on the 23th night of Ramadan. May Allah accept his good deeds, overlook his failings, and may the departed soul rest in eternal peace.
JI acting chief Liaqat Baloch, JI deputy chiefs Prof. Khurshid Ahmed, Hafiz Muhammad Idrees, mian Muhamamd Aslam, Asadullah Bhutto and Rashid Naseem have also expressed deep grief over the demise of the former Saudi prince.
