ISLAMABAD: A delegation of trade representatives of tribal areas called on Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan Ameer Senator Sirajul Haq on Saturday to apprise him regarding issues created after Operation Zarb-e-Azb in different tribal parts.

The delegation told Sirajul Haq that all shops of tribesmen were bulldozed in North Waziristan Agency (NWA) depriving the tribal people from the lone source of income. They said that the government is now willing to auction off their properties after grabbing bazaar land behind veil of eradicating terrorism.

The delegation revealed that the government wanted to award blue-eyed persons by constructing four to five market places instead of building 15-20 thousand shops. The representative expressed fears of commencement of new and unending series of civil war following controversial policy of the government. The delegation members include officials of Miran Shah and Mir Ali Market Owners’ Association.

While talking to the delegation, Sirajul Haq praised significant sacrifices of the tribal citizens especially Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) of North Waziristan Agency (NWA) for establishment of peace across the country. He assured the delegation to discuss related issues by meeting Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Governor and Corps Commander Peshawar in order to request immediate resolve of the issues.

JI Ameer said that tribal persons needed no certification to prove their patriotism as they gave significant sacrifices to defend Pakistan and they have right for an honourable return to their areas. He said that international powers were making dangerous conspiracies against Islam and Pakistan.

Sirajul Haq said that deteriorated peace situation in Muslim countries including Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, Syria and Middle East was created by the anti-Islam international powers.
